The problem
Most online tools require you to upload your files to someone else's server. Your tax documents, private photos, confidential recordings — all sitting on a machine you don't control. And for what? A simple merge, crop, or conversion that your own computer is perfectly capable of doing.
Our approach
Every tool in Cashew Crate runs entirely in your browser. We use modern web technologies — JavaScript, WebAssembly, Canvas API, Web Workers — to process your files locally on your device.
There is no backend server. There is no database. There is no upload endpoint. Your files physically cannot leave your device because there's nowhere to send them. This isn't a policy — it's architecture.
How we sustain this
Each tool offers a free tier with limited daily usage. Power users can upgrade to Pro for unlimited access via a monthly subscription or one-time lifetime purchase. Pro users also get an ad-free experience.
We use minimal, non-intrusive advertising on the free tier. We never sell data, because we literally don't have any data to sell.
